After you get the Fe Farthing (Which is obtained by donating to all the temples), head for the Feldecarb Fountain in Middlegate (15,15), however be prepared to face at least one random encounter (Blood Suckers are dangerous to low level characters, since they drain stats, Screaming Pods can paralyze your characters and Sludge Beasts spit acid, so casting lighting bolt on them isn't a bad idea early game).

Flick your farthing on it and you'll get a castle key: This item will allow you to enter the castles without getting attacked by castle guards, though in some castles such as Hillstone you'll still have to get past some fixed fights against the guards in order to get access to the dungeons or important items/NPCs.

After getting the castle key, I've headed to Nordon (10,2) and solved his quest.

If you didn't faced the Cuisinarts for a relatively easy level up, then you can fight the skeletons stored on Nordon's closet to get some experience and gold: Have your cleric cast Turn Undead and finish the remaning skeletons with your other characters. Gp back to the inn and once you return, the skeletons will respawn (Once you get enough experience and gold, go to the training center to level up, once your characters starts leveling up, fighting the skeletons and unlocking that blasted door gets more easier).

Buying a thief's pick for your robber helps a bit unlocking the door safely, but in any case, make sure you have some magical herbs if things doesn't go too well, or put your characters to rest if you're in a pinch (Don't forget that your your food supply is decreased by 1 every time you rest, though is inexpensive to buy on Middlegate's tavern).

Nordon's goblet is on Middlegate caverns (entrance at 8,0) and to get it you'll have to get past a random encounter, goblins and orcs and finally a band of goblins and orcs with an inept wizard. A couple of lighting bolts (purchased at Sansobar) should deal with them nicely. After you defeat them, get Nordon's goblet (0,7) and head back to him.

Once you complete Nordon's quest, he'll give you 2000 experience points, the eagle eye spell (Gives you a minimap for the outside areas, but you're better off donating to a temple or drinking from the fountain of clairvoyance) and 1000 gold if you use the search option. He'll also ask you to pay a visit to his sister, Nordonna (1,2).

Before starting Nordonna's quest, I've headed to C1 and got the Undead Chant spell (5,5): This spell destroy all undead monsters regardless of their level (Unlikely the Turn Undead spell) there's also a nice glitch that allows this spell to destroy non-undead monsters too (If there are several undead-type monsters with non-undead and you cast this spell, only the first monster will remain while the others will be erradicated, regardless of being undead or not).

Also is important to note that in the SNES version casting this spell doesn't age the caster, so use and abuse it against the undead, once you clerics and paladins reach spell level 9 (Since I've fought the Cuisinarts early, I got to use this spell early too).
