Styrofoam Damage is a problem for all video game collectors.
We're going to look into the cause and simple ways to protect against permanent damage.

  • I remember my used NES controller cables were all covered with styrofoam rests. Applying that technique to my Famicom will be the next thing I do tomorrow! :D

  • @aveFger Famicom controller cords will fuse to the system shell, so make sure you isolate them.

  • @ASSEMblerEX What about the kind of plastic that the SMS is wrapped up in the video? Would that leech into the Styrofoam also?

    wasnt new in box but someone put it back in the box a long time ago.

  • good video, I had an snes that was boxed complete but man the Styrofoam was a pain. Any ways to keep the Styrofoam from breaking apart any further?
