This site would include selling downloadable music, ring tones, videos, films, digital books etc. However all the proceeds generated will be used to directly fund the construction of renewable energy infrastructure. In many ways it will be a music/media version of Paul Newmans food company Newmans Own where 100% of the proceeds, after taxes are donated to various charities. MusicwillsavetheEarths funds however will be directed to renewable energy infrastructure a vital element needed in averting the Climate Crisis. There is a growing sense of urgency that even though we are taking steps to reduced world wide greenhouse emissions we still are not doing what is really required to avert this crisis. Music has traditionally been used in the past to inspire people, in shifting culture and also generate money towards various causes. The music industry alone is said to be worth over 32 billion dollars annually and so with the every increasing number of paid downloads for music and rise of other digital media the potential for this idea to make a significant impact on the long term habitability of this planet is vast. All renewable energy infrastructure financed by MusicwillsavetheEarth.org will be owned by MusicwillsavetheEarth and the capital generated in the future by selling this clean energy will be used to fund further renewable infrastructure projects.
