Class leader 8100 GEVO ES44DCi leads another huge ore train through the majestic scenery of the Pilbara. The section is between Possum and Pelican loops and was shot at the foot of Mt Lewis ( see previous video)

  • The other end was in China

  • @crocodile2006 I'd say that most of the load was probably going there anyhow.

  • so how long does it take to stop this monster?

  • @DI4ZALMARAZ Probably 2-3 km's under a normal brake application from line speed. Thing about trains is one wagon stops the same as 100 wagons. The longer stopping time is due to the delay in air exhausting out of the brake valve at the front end. The longer the train the longer it takes to set the brakes. ECP braking will put an end to that delay once it is fitted.

  • Bullshit! Damn thats huge!

  • @bassedoutcleff So you haven't seen the BHP 336 car trains yet.
