EVERLASTING GOD I lose myself in the music, the lyrics and the scriptures as I worship in song. Clearly the point is to be pulled into worship no matter my human feelings too often wrapped in the cares of this world, focused on situations & circumstances. This song and video just made me want to breathe again and feel peaceful but refreshed and alive in Christ! Be still and know that He IS God! Then shout it out and Praise the Lord All Ye People! (Thank you for posting the collection.)

It is insulting to have your personal biases/perceptions be turned into the misrepresentation of my position and ultimately creating questions that have nothing to do with the original discussion. No one has a responsibility to defend a position that they never stated.

I asked you to answer two questions. I apologized for being frustrated, but I wasnt insulting at all, and I think your faking outrage as a cover.

I saw that no matter how offensive or unreasonable you behave, its not a good excuse to return it with frustration. If your uncomfortable with seriously examining your positions, I get it. A lot of people are. It just seems like if you feel that way, you might not spout off vitriol (cus you can't deal with scrutiny yourself).

    Either way, take care!

The lucidity I was referring to was more along the lines of "was the sermon reflective of your horribly insulting behavior?". Not regarding the tithing. Just curious why you suddenly have some decency....I begged for it before and never saw it so I am curious.

    Always felt that way.

When people are coerced into it, it goes against Paul's words (he said never give out of regret, essentially) and has no place in the church. I get it, its just, its a lack of total trust. If God has the church go bankrupt, so it goes.

Those who have so trusted the Lord, have been blessed enormously. The churches that struggle are those that force a tithe.

It fulfills a prophecy, "Zeal for Your House will consume Me". They were just corrupt and had to go, bottom line.

As far as the tithe, I actually agree with you. I get a feeling like a church borders on doing something...wrong...when they pull the tithe up from the OT, even when it has no place in the NT. Paul simply says give willingly, never because you were forced. So ya, I wonder too why churches make the tithe obligatory - Jesus never did. It isn't biblical, not for Christians.
