"Tractor" is latin meaning "to pull", so anything that is build for pulling stuff around is a tractor - Like an articulated Lorry, or a Locomotive.

Offcourse, people got smarter and added a pair of steering wheels, and thus the 4 wheeled tractor was born. But they still build small 2 wheelers like this one, for small jobs, or narrow places. They use a lot less fuel.
