Bristletails (petrobius maritimus - ?) seen in abundance on rocky cliffs on the north Cornwall coast. I think this is the largest and most common species, although probably the most sighted species are those that you find in the bath with you (silverfish). Nice to see them in the great outdoors instead.
Does anyone know what they eat? They seemed to be living in conjunction with a type of ant (not sure which - slightly different from most I've seen with golden-ish coloured body) and I wondered whether they ate them, although I didn't witness any captures and I don't know if they are carnivors.
