It is totally unbelievable that Rockefeller would be stupid enough to try to sway the FINANCE COMMITTEE without getting the Congressional Budget Office to score his proposal. His "passionate plea" accomplished nothing more than to pay lip service to REAL Democrats and harden the resolve of the Blue Dogs and the GOP to defeat it.
BTW he proved his true intent when he undercut all efforts to add the public option back in during budget reconciliation by calling it "too partisan."
