@KunarSatan- Do you even know what you are talking about it? Have you EVER read what a USA carrier has as a weapon beyond jets? You do know understand what goes into a carrier fleet? Wow!! you need to do some research before posting. A russian carrier is no match for a USA carrier. You believe that the navy planner never thought of it's carriers defence ? You smoking crack?

A russian carrier can fight without its air wing as an independent anti-ship unit, while the us carrier in case it looses all its air wing in combat becomes a big pile of metal with only smal means of defence compared to the massive armament of russian carriers.

I am sorry, but isn't this the same navy that got it's ass kick in the 1800s? by japan? Looks like the same navy. Compare 1 russian carrier to 1 USA carrier and i think its safe to say...Russian lose.

@polygamous1 the vietnam war had nothing to do with the MIC, it all had to do with containing the spread of communism. the whole point of the Gulf of Tonkin was to enable us to use our full military strength to fight the war, there was no way the south could beat the north by themselves in a million years. for those who claim it was fought for money you must look at the aftermath, what happened after the south fell to communism? all of french indochina became communist, and was for decades.
