of course machida had his head down, he knew it was close and that shogun kicked his ass in round 5. he wasnt used to that, he hasnt even had a semicompetitive fight since bj penn and he knew he might have lost for the first time. valasquez looked the same way after kongo bc he was disappointed in himself. machida looked battered from the 5th round where shogun began to land headshots and bust machidas lip. shogun had no major cup but had a black eye & bruised face. epic fight!
