  • Was there plans for a VP II ?

When was that due to be created / released?

The re-make with Viggio Mortensen ( SP? ) was aweful.

    JMO

  • Plans were made in the early 90's but not sure what happened but obviously it didn't get made.

  • Was the picture of the two Dodge Challengers at the end of your video taken at Floyd Garrett's Muscle Car museum in Pigeon Forge, TN? I was just there a few months ago, and thought they looked familiar.

  • Yup. Was there in July '07. Spent over two hours in there taking pictures. Great collection.

  • There are only two great car chase flicks, "Vanishing Point"' (1971) and "Bullitt"..both had great 'foleys', these guys knew and liked cars, "Bullitt' is a little contrived, but Vanishing Point is raw and real, the car is definitely the star in this one. And NO, the remake of "Vanishing Point is NOT a good remake, some things are better left alone. And forget "Dirty Mary etc" too flippin goofy. No real substance.

  • i just love how at the end they blew up a chevy camaro instead of the challenger!

  • There was a good writeup of this film in Practical Classics a few years ago, where they travelled to some of the filming locations in a white Challenger. During filming, Dodge initially gave the production five cars, although they later disowned the movie after finding it contained scenes of nudity and drug abuse. It is unknown whether any of the five movie Challengers still exist.

  • This movie looks badass as fuck!

  • @teamhunterracing was done about 1999, or 2000. Not nearly as good. Made for cable.

  • @teamhunterracing remakes in general are awful. I'm ashamed of most of the remakes that have come out lately. Anyways, The Dodge Challenger, and this movie are timeless and awesome.

  • The last american hero......

  • jo ,dieser geile ,geile super soul ,bekiffte dj,,,,hammmer..

  • one hell of a movie, awesome, last hero of freedom - dam strait, cuddnt do nothing like that these days, police way too powerful, they way i see it, if your only crime is not doing what the police want and not bothering no body, and if the police cant catch you, well you deserve to get away. but if i saw my woman commit suicide and i was on the run, id go out just the way kowalski did - freedom baby, oh freedom... might of done the blonde on the bike though

  • You can watch all the clips on youtube you want, but until you watch the whole movie there is NO WAY you can appreciate what this movie REALLY offers until watching it the whole way thru. I saw it at the local drive-in in 1973, it is a cult classic and I have watched it many times since. Give it a look, It"s kul. Damn good movie.

  • @Steve426hemi neither should be blown up at all :P
