Copic Marker Drawing: Merida

Hello everyone! Thanks sooo much for the 4000 subscribers! That came and went a lot faster than I thought it would.

This picture was originally suppose to be for the real-time series of videos that I'm planning, but things happened so I'll have to re-record another one of those sometime later. Since this was supposed to be a real-time video, it includes everything from the sketching to the finished product. I don't normally record myself sketching, but a lot of people have asked for my to include that in my videos.

About the note at the end of the video -- yes, I did go in and delete about 6 of my old videos. I'm going to tweak them a bit and post them back onto my channel over the next, say, month or so.

Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury Cardstock, in ivory not white.

Inking pens: Copic Sp Multiliners, nib sizes 0.1, 0.2 and 0.25

Inkssentials Opaques White Pen for the eye highlights.

Copic marker colors I used (in the order I used them):

Skin: E000, E00, E21, R20, E0000, E31

Hair: YR14, YR15, YR16, YR18, R08

Dress Cream Color: E30, E31

Dress Blue Color: BG72, BG18, BG75, BG78

@haereeish I use a Tombo Mono eraser - the best eraser I've ever used. But, they're hard to find, since it's a Japanese product - I can only find them at my local Kinokuniya Bookstore.

I am so glad that you showed your viewers how you sketch. It really shows that you read and listen to our comments and is open to ideas. I would love for you to do another big picture like the one you did with "hiccup"??? Like an image on big paper. :-D

@LTCJ2006 This picture was suppose to be for my live drawing video... but I thought it worked better as a speed drawing video. I really liked including the sketch... but it's hard to record sketching... cause my sketches don't always turn into something. I would love to work on another huge picture like that... but they take so long! I worked on that picture for 3 weeks... over 12 hours of work. I do actually have another one that size drawn out that I might start working on soon. :)

Finally! XD I found someone who has rough sketches in pencil. Seriously, I see loads of videos where people sketch first in the beginning, and the sketches are so neat, I'm just like, wtf. Because mine are so rough before I fineline, but finally, I'm like you XD

@SkyChanxdesuux My sketches are always a mess, I don't bother to clean them up since I usually transfer the image onto a clean sheet of paper with my light box. I really love the feel and movement of rough sketches. :)
