Blur: NY Dumbo (Brooklyn Tour) - Class D

Another race with XANDEREL09 and pal_pal_423, albeit less exciting than the Manhattan View run. Still, I had to chase Xanderel down (who got screwed and spun out by a mine I dropped at the end of lap 2 even with a shield up), clearing the way for Pal to chew at my tailpipe for the entire third lap. I pondered switching to the Drifter mod since we were on Class D, but one mistake would have cost the race and I didn't want to gamble.

Actually, using the Drifter Mod in D-class is a bar bigger advantage than in A-class, owing to the huge difference in native and nitro-boosted top speed. Granted it's more difficult to get nitros at low speed, but there are plenty opportunities around this track for them and really, you only need to be worrying about using it or not when there's more than 16 people in a race or when the track is counterclockwise.

It remains the one thing in this game I have absolutely no grasp over yet. The proper way to induce cars to slide (especially lower speed ones) and knowing intrinsically where the breaking point is to get a nitro is extremely difficult, and I'm simply not confident enough to use it when facing competition from people whose non-drifter lines are comparable to mine.
