3x AMA Superbike Champion Ben Spies rides the Rizla Suzuki GSV-R at the 2008 Moto GP race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey, CA, 7/18-7/20. Valentino Rossi won the race and Spies placed 8th. Suzuki foolishly passed on the talent of Spies but Yamaha signed him for 2009 and he won the World Superbike title and will race for Yamaha in MotoGP in 2010!

A Damn! dangerous complicated Criminal with Lawless attitude!!

  • I cant wait till the 2010 season starts!

  • Nice footage... good to see someone capture this.. instead of constantly depending on MotoGP to dish out freebies.

I don't know about winning 2010 MotoGP. There are some experienced guys at the top. If Spies gets even 1 or 2 podiums I think I'd be happy. He's a quick learner but 2011 is more likely. $0.02

@ 0:47 I thought he was going to hit the wall... he was on the other side of the white line!

  • Spies on a Yamaha?!...Looks to me we are about to witness some future domination by the Texans!!!!

  • suzuki needs ben!! come back ben!!

  • You got some great coverage. .Speed channel need to hire you . . LOL ! !

Looks like you had a team of people at every corner of the track . .

    Good work. .

  • He is too good not to be in motogp. Granted, he will need to pace himself, but in due time we will see Ben on some podiums! Two Texans on one motogp team?! That's crazy!

  • And look how right you are! Good prediction man.
