o love how you focsed in the duns. i love dun gotta gun! he is the prettyest horse i have ever seen i have like 10 posters of him. i also ride western. mostly berral, poles, cutting, and team ropeing

Riding western isn't going to screw up your English training. You HAVE to sit your trot, no posting allowed, so it really helps your seat. You are sitting farther back, with your legs more forward, so western is easier to balance on. I think riding western will help a lot, but if you're really worried, just ride bareback.

alot of the comments here are kinda old but im really hoping someone can answer my question. I ride english; eventing and hunters..but I really want to try western and take monthly western lessons or something like that just to try it. but I dont want to ride western if its going to screw up my english training, some people say it will help, because I will get better balance and get a better seat. Can someone give me their opinion please(:

I LOVE Western riding!!!!!! My horse does it and we do reining too! Slide stops to onride turns --- You name it!!=D
