  • @conken1000 lol

  • ''I never did good at school'' no shit Gabe, your grammar is terrible..but your a funny fucker.

  • well since you raised the question: i dont, never did

  • simple green is a grease cutter.

it's oil of sassafras ..will do a nice job cleaning a lot of things, but especially an oily residue..

just make sure your rinse the grips and dry them ..don't want to leave an oil on a rubberized surface..

good idea! thanks for sharing this tip.

  • Gabe, great demo on how to clean golf grips! I've played golf 30+ years and I've used this cleaning method, but I used comet or ajax as the cleansing agent. There's a new product out NOW, called Grip Kleen, which cleans your grips to the same degree, but with much less hastle. It is a presoaked towelette you simply wipe onto the grip. THAT'S IT. No sink, agent, or towel. Same results. (found the product in PGAtoursuperstore).

  • I clean my grips by getting a bucket filling it with hot soapy water then using a rag dip it in the bucket and wipe the grips down, then get a big fluffy bathroom towel and towel dry it

  • @Gabesly west marine i believe has it because the guy who invented it invented it for his boat

  • You should always put a tee peg or something where the hole is at the top of the grip as when water gets in there it can rust

  • I talked with Bob VanSweden, Taylormade Golf Club Fitter of the Year for like a handful of years...

and he says he uses a hard bristle brush with "White Wall Car Tire cleaner" and rises with warm water.

Takes all the grease and sweat off the grips.

Over here in Tampa, FL it stays pretty humid, and this def works!

  • Thanks! I've never cleaned my grips, only my clubs. Thought water would be bad for them. Not anymore!
