Yes, Mr SB Chevy is correct, this is the sound of locking up BALL JOINTS! 28 Year Master Technician
-
i think it might mean blinker fluid is low

was that a jeep cherokee? my 91 did the same thing. i replaced ball joints, tie rods ends, turned out the bolts on the steering box were loose. didnt think it was that simple!!

thats the noise...
-
i think is the alternator squeaking ;)
-
The squeeqing noise is the tie rods for sure , and the clunking noise when you turn if the car is at a full stop is your tower bearing . I hope this info helps you out .

@corruptedcanadian inner ty rods have the same problem.I took it to 4 different shops every one said the same thing.

Mine's similar but i get both popping and squeeking on a car with just 40k miles on it. My local mechanic has oiled my ball joints twice and I'm still getting it, he says he can't see a problem. I guess when you buy a car for $3000 that has just 35k miles on it you can't complain.

it's the control arm and bearing going bad...do it yourself or have it done for a few hundred bucks
