The Sergeant was actually voiced by Daws Butler (who also did Yahooey.)

Daws past away May 18,1988 of a heart attack He and Stan Freberg did the last network comedy radio show in 1957 aka "The Stan Freberg Show" which in the late 90's was awarded a place in the Smithsonian Institute.

@ACcountryFan WOW! Butler was just as versitile in cartoon voices as the late Mel Blanc was for Warner Bros cartoons. Thanks for posting. Is Butler still with us or has he passed on?

They do. Daws Butler did a crap load of stuff. Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, even Bingo of the Banana Splits. Don't know about Doug and Hal, but a lot of the actors worked for other HB productions.
