  • When I am laid, am laid in earth, may my wrongs create No trouble, no trouble in, in thy breast. When I am laid, am laid in earth, may my wrongs create No trouble, no trouble in, in thy breast. Remember me, remember me, but ah! Forget my fate. Remember me, but ah! Forget my fate. Remember me, remember me, but ah! Forget my fate. Remember me, but ah! Forget my fate.

  • I searched for "Jessye Norman perky" and this is the first hit. Followed closely by Erlkonig.

  • My son was taken from me, I hope he never forgets me, my heart is broken,,

  • Quelle drôle d'idée, Didon en arbre de Noël... et qui chante plutôt bas, hélas...

On aime tant Jessye Norman, peut-être pouvait-on se passer de ce clip raté, avec orchestre presque variété ?

  • @angelo1962 The original of the quotation is from a poem by Rûckert, set by Mahler, and which Ms. Norman sings often: 'Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen' Ich leb' allein in meinem Himmel, in meinem Lieben, in meinem Lied." I live alone in my heaven, in my loving, and in my song.' Certainly applies to Dido's lament by Purcell......

  • omg she looks like opera

  • There is a haunting beauty to this performance that I am in awe of.

  • Pour Les 4e De Maison Blanche qui regardent ça pour nos cours de Musique !!!!!

    Gros Bisouuuus de Raphaëlle ! :D Viive la 4e B !!! <3333

  • @uhohwhoops Yes and no, Dido's Lament would include the recitative 'Thy Hand Belinda' that comes before this aria, so this is part of Dido's lament

  • One of the most beautiful voices around today to compliment possibly the most beautiful aria ever written, so desperate, so tragic!

  • Although not the best I've heard, Jessye Norman's version is much, much better than Renee Fleming's. Thanks for sharing! :)
