The best plane in the world and the safest airline in the world: 747 and Qantas. What a combination!

Qantas are one of the safest airlines in the world, they have never lost a jet in an accident, and they have one of the best services, good flight crew, and the fact that you can blow a hole in the side of a 747 and then land it is only credit to what a great aircraft it is, Plus Qantas are part of the Oneworld Alliance so they must go through stringent safety checks, what happened this week could not have been avoided, and it was not corrosion lol.

Qantas was a Oneworld founding member airline...

@NASCARRELIC a dirty pass is when the gear is down and the flaps are down making it as less aerodynamic as possible
-
@SenorSpode I'm gonna cry when the 747 gets retired on more routes in favour of the Socialistbus A380. If I want to arrive in one piece and not have strange "incidents" occur without explanation, I'll fly Boeing!
-
@wowdude999 A dirty flyover is when they flyover with full flaps deployed and gears down. As opposed to a clean flyover when flaps and gears are up and it's usually a higher speed pass.
-
Lol, if that was supposed to be inspiring..
-
How is it dirty?! Looks shiny to me :\
And the plane was from 1.5-2 thousand feet
-
Did they wash the plane after it got "dirty"?
-
@UKandUSArule You have never flown on PAN AM - Maxim's De Paris in house catering - in comparison Qantas serves shit from an asshole.
-
@cianodo i have been flying this machine. and my father is michael jackson!

@flightdude12345 it means the airfoils are dirty, i.e Flaps are extended and gear is down. An aircraft is aerodynamically "clean" when all flaps are retreacted, gear is up and gear doors are closed.
shes sure low, did it look lower than what the video can see

Definitely on purpose - it was in the programme. I remember when Australia played Uruguay in Sydney in 2005 there was footage of a Qantas doing a flyover of Stadium Australia - I've been looking everywhere to find it!!
