But what if you're honest, even to the point of proud, that they're fake? Because it's such a good fake so you tell everyone you meet "oh, these aren't real! they're fake and fabulous!!!" then what does that make you? You aren't trying to deceive anyone. You're just excited you got some cool glasses, that happen to be fake, at a great price. Do they still cheat more?

I stay away from fashion with logos. It's crazy to be human billboards to wear logos to prove themselves " valuable" This is a disconnect with authenticy. Plastic sunglasses ( even the $300 ones) don't make us more real, sincere, special, truthful. In this experiment suggestions to the test subject that moral ground is degraded by wearing "fake"
products sets up the mentality that
integrity is reduced by acceptance of the product. This whole subject is turning me into an anarchist.

@mramckoy nothing like naturals!! ;)

@napali2 jejeje, good point. If one act of cheating take us to another act of cheating.... It is, maybe, not a good idea to "lie" from the beginnig

@FaveloDaRua Sorry: "on his glasses" (I am not english native!!)

In my opinion, the point here is not the fashion industry, it is the fact that it is a copy. Someone puts Gucci in his glasses, but he is not Gucci, he is doing that to sell more taking Gucci´s name. So he is cheating. If I buy those glasses, it will be very hard for my friends to assert that it is a copy (because they can be even better than Gucci´s ones, in terms of quality) but I am trying to make people think that I have Gucci.

the consumer has to be smart and vigilante enough before buying,and he should ask for LIFE TIME WARRANTY.LIKE IN THOSE DAYS (MY DADS DAYS) YOU GOT FAVRE LEUBA gave finest quality watches and lifetime warranty.how many companies give such guarantee ?when they themselves are not confident of giving such quality how do they expect customers to invest in their products ??? just logic.

What would you think about the job candidate, who is been wearing a fake stuff during the interview? Is he a liar? Cheater? Is he/she threat to your company?
-
It all depends on ones perspective. Fashion is an illusion. The glasses are plastic, whether we're talking about the designer or the "fake" ones. If no one knows or cares if it's "Cloe'", then it doesn't matter.

The fashion industry are the biggest cheats in the world. Those companies often (try to) make 1000% or more in profit margins on their clothes, cosmetics, iphones and other products that (try to) cheat the intellect of the masses of consumers to only sell them the idea of something that cost 10x more than it cost to manufacture.
Is the counterfeit culture in China causing corruption?

Easily the best video on youtube today :)
Could you extend this to other stuff like software piracy or even to Iphone knockoffs?
Now that would be very bleak indeed.
