yo, i was there at moe. and i thought they were okay, except for their 20 minute jam: "so ------ high." i do aggree with you about the lack of energy from trey, but i still think that Toots and the maytals blew everyone out of the water that day, {at least i think that they played that day (correct me if im wrong)}
I've seen moe. many times. Good shows, but I think only once very impressive. If moe. stole any kind of show with multiple bands, including and especially Trey, I'd have to see that first hand. So Trey got caught with drugs, big deal. NY's laws are rough. Remember the final set of Coventry? Yeah...we're way ahead of you, friend.
Maybe it was because I was at this show, but I thought he was pretty dead on that night. The energy in the crows was pretty amazing. I did think that Moe. stole the show of all the friday performances.
If you are like me & have followed Phish & Trey since the early 90's of course you're concerned about our Jedi Knight! That was the one thing about Trey I always loved & respected that every night he gave all he had! You always had that feeling that Trey was different than all those other junkie rock stars. Of course we care about him! Just take it easy Trey!
I saw him in December of 06 and he was dead on the whole night. I was afraid he'd be 1) too high of pills to play well or 2) sick from NOT taking the pills he was addicted to. It was an amazing show and the First Tube was much better but this one still rocks.
This was definitely my favorite show of Friday's lineup... and who really cares if musicians are drugged up? Think of Coltrane, Beethoven, etc. Some of the best music in history has come from drugged up musicians, and I'm OK with that... besides, act like the crowd wasn't on drugs as well...
@Golgiguy what you think now

I'm as big a fan as anyone of Phish/Trey but it's pretty apparent that he's way off on this performance. The pharmies are getting to him...
