@DanielJPowell1 This is a great setup. Did you use a custom mattress?

Definitely a very nice job, though I too wonder if the wood frames are screwed to the truck or connected together somehow... Thanks for the video though.

you did a nice job on that i must say. Did you seal the bottom of the tailgate so rain/bugs can't get in at all?

Nice job man, and looks lightweight and strong, I'm thinking of using the same design. I have a question or 2, Are the wood frames around the wheel wells screwed into the truck bed so the platform won't shift while driving? What is the weight approximately? Would you lay a indoor/outdoor carpet on the truck bed and put the sleeper platform on top? Have you used this often and what modifications if any would you make?

i got one of those grabbers when i bought my hoverround from tom kruise on tv
I was looking for some ideas that might make my cap seem more like a camper, and you have done the best job so far. My Toyota is 74 inches long and will handle a twin matress as a perfect fit front to back and side to side. I think I will change the plywood to run lenthwise and hinge it to the corner boxes to open and double as curtains to let me sleep in. Nice Job.

@Karl7608 Thanks :) Good idea with hinging the plywood and using it as curtains.

@ studdisland, mostly: Nothing at all is fastened to the truck bed. I don't like to drill into my rig if I can avoid it. The sides are held in place by the foam mattress or the plywood when it is in the raised position. The weight of all the wood is around 100 pounds. I would only use carpet if I was using a thinner foam, like 2". I've used it a few times and would not make any modifications. It works great. @ Z3CHYD: Yes. I sealed the bottom of the tailgate with weatherstripping foam.
