I am adopted. My parents knew that my birth mother was a drug addicted prostitute. They KNEW that I was at risk but they wanted me anyway. I was born a very sick little girl. I had a very damaged immune system and was always at the drs office. My parents would never have given up on me. Even with the tantrums, the sickness. I was their child and they would never have handed me over to anyone else ever.

You have not walked in this woman's shoes and you cannot judge. She is doing what is right for herself and her family. You have NEVER lived with a child of rage. You have NO idea how you would react, what it would do to the child's siblings, or anything else. You want to be angry with someone, be angry with the demon who drank during her pregnancy with no consideration for the evils she would inflict on her child.

I have this disorder, and my parents LOVED ME ENOUGH TO SEE ME THROUGH MY LIFE AND THROUGH MY HARDSHIPS. Now, I am a high functioning adult with a grade 12 under my belt and an apartment all my own. YOU PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE EXCUSES FOR PARENTS. You didn't even try. You gave up because it wasn't easy. Mine NEVER gave up. You make me very very sad, and angry. I hope that you never have any more children to suffer through your pathetic attempt at compassion.
