The only purpose of the government is to protect it's people; to say anything otherwise is asinine beyond explanation
What you should have said is that the government cannot be Trusted to protect us and therefore we should not rely on it to do so, we should instead rely on ourselves and learn all we can, instead of depending on the government for our every need

FDA is more like guidelines, that's why companies don't really adhere to them, plus synthetic chemicals are WAYYyyyyy cheaper than organic chemicals that do not have a longer shelf life.

Start a "home detox" by going through room by room with a cardboard box. Load all chemical items you find (air fresheners, laundry detergent, dishwasher dtgnt, body products, perfume, dryer sheets, cleaners, etc.). Pass them on to folks who are going to purchase and use them anyway. Then as your needs arise, replace them with earth (and body) friendly versions. Or, better yet, use vinegar or baking soda for the home, and use castile soap for body and laundry. Google "The Naturally Clean Home".

it is NOT the job of the government to protect us. the FDA exists & has done nothing to stop this from happening. we need to use awareness & the power of the consumer to shift the market to more healthy, green, organic choices.
