Session 5 - Licenses, Permits, and Business Names
Question:
"What other business topics would you recommend for someone going into business without business training?"
Stan Henslee
Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.)
Topics covered in this video:
Business course, classes, law, marketing, sales, advertising, computers, software
Transcript:
I think probably the most important one would be a course in general business law so that you understand the rules of the game and what you can and can not do. I would also consider taking classes in marking, in sales and in advertising. You may also need to take some classes in computer software because computers are changing all of the time. Classes in finance, insurance and things like that I don't think are quite as important because it is pretty easy to find a good insurance broker that can explain those different types of policies and coverage to you and I don't think that finance would help you that much.
