The complete Enlightenment of Shakyamuni Buddha beneath the Bodhi tree in Bodhgaya is beyond limitations of space & time : it is pervading all outside phenomena like landscapes with rivers & mountains,all continents and planets. It is also pervading all inside phenomena : our five aggregates and five elements, transforming & liberating them into mandala of the Wisdom deities. Bodhgaya`s Vajra/Diamond Seat where Lord Buddha accomplished supreme Enlightenment is very sacred Buddhist place. According to Nyingma Atiyoga/Dzogchen tantra entitled Penetration of Sound (Tib. Dra Thal Gyur) there is invisible Vajra Scepter in the space above the Vajrasana. And there are many profound secret Treasures still hidden at Bodhgaya. In this sense is Bodhgaya the supreme Axis mundi or cardinal point of our planet. Every being should pray with amaranthine faith to Buddha Shakyamuni. As it is written in the Offering Praise of the White Sail by Kyabje Thinley Norbu Rinpoche : All beings endless karmic defilements are purified by just seeing the perfection of your pearl rosary smile. The murky swamp of samsara is cleansed by the flowing crystal waves of your pristine treasure river of knowledge. Most kind of kind Buddhas, our Guide in this degenerate age, Buddha Shakyamuni, I , one named Jewel of Activity, with amaranthine faith, offer ornaments to adorn you. Please illuminate the radiant wisdom spirit of my precious Buddha nature... When we pray like this with deep devotion we replace Rinpoche`s name with our name. In Mahaparinirvana sutra Lord Buddha prophecied to reappear in this saha world again as Lotus-born Guru Padmasambhava. For the continuation of Buddha`s most precious Dharmas in third millenium all Buddhists around the world must behave according to Buddhist ethics : according to Pratimoksha vows of individual liberation of the Theravada school, according to the Bodhisattva vows of the Mahayana schools, according to Root & secondary tantric vows of the Vajrayana schools and according to Four great samayas of Atiyoga/Dzogchen lineages. At Bodhgaya many sublime Dharma practitioners renewed their Vows and became VEGETARIANS. Many pilgrims of other spiritual paths decided at Bodhgaya to GO IN THE SAVE DIRECTION :to go for Refuge to the Buddha,His Teachings and His Sangha-community of virtuous Friends. With Buddhist ethic we can understand that each set of Vows support the other and is natural continuation of the other. There is no contradiction between them. In OBF International we don´t think that there are two or more Sanghas : monastic & non-monastic. True Sangha is only One: the Sangha of the Buddha. In OBF monastics are not more important as non-monastics. In Brahma Net Sutra it is said: THE PRECEPTS ARE LIKE RADIANT SUN & MOON, LIKE A SHINING NECKLACE OF GEMS: BODHISATTVAS AS NUMEROUUS AS MOTES OF DUST UPHOLD THEM AND ATTAIN BUDDHAHOOD.
May Lord Buddha`s Teachings shine with unimpeded continuity until samsara is emptied. May all beings swiftly accomplish innate Buddha nature.
