Switch to 720p if you can't see the water dripping on the pillar.

Noticed today after a near 0 Degree Celsius rainfall that after my truck sat in the parking lot at work in the rain all day - that the ceiling had been water damaged and there was water inside of the "grab handle" on the passenger side.

The door was closed fully obviously, so it had not seeped through there. I tried to replicate a heavy rainfall pouring water on the front of the truck but couldn't get it to drip again.

Water has a way of traveling through the weirdest places, it will always find its way through whatever it can. Being a plumber I know this. Anyway gotta take it into Ford to have it looked at.

Whats next? Maybe if I'm lucky my tranny will blow.

  • Formula Ford Fixed this problem - they discovered it was the Sirius antenna. They also steam cleaned the water damage and its not noticeable anymore.

  • I just took my 2010 f150 crewcab to ford for the same prob,...they said they have had many f150s with the same prob,...water is leaking through the rear light gasget or some call it the 3rd brake light....it was replaced and is working fine....I dont have any stains on the inside, so they did not replace the inside roof...but, the new gasget is diffrent from the one the truck came with,...the stock one is faulty...no recalls on it though hhmm...

  • @thealfa1435 I took the truck in today - they called back and said it was most likely coming from the Sirius Antenna. Who knows.. I'm stuck with a shitty rental for a couple days until they work out all of my problems.,

  • My 09 F150 did the same thing I sealed up the Sirius antenna with a little silicone, no more leaks.

  • @antonyjohnny85 That what I thought it was, because the leak stain starts right where the Sirius Wiring turns to go to the antenna. I took the Roof apart and dumped buckets of water on the truck, sprayed it with the hose and tried parking on different angles to see where the water would go. You're probably right - but i'm not about to pour silicone onto my vehicle while its under warranty still

  • Hey man I got a 2010 f150 fx4 and it's doing the same thing... It's intermittent and I can't replicate it. Let me know if you figure it out. I'll get it checked by ford too eventually. Could it be coming through the satellite antenna on the roof?

  • @HEDGEMAN13 All I know is - they better be steam cleaning my roof, and giving me a complimentary steam cleaning of my seats for the inconvenience.

  • @thealfa1435 I have the Same Problem on my 2009, Your Right It Is The Gasket... Once you Remove it It will Leak.

  • @HEDGEMAN13 Well, what i've researched so far, Most people who have the same problem encounter this from a bad seal on the REAR TRUCK BED light, the water travels inside the frame, to the front of the vehicle. I told ford about it and I'm taking the truck in on monday, they said that "they know about this problem" and thats "most likely" where its coming from.

  • Holy shit your truck is cursed now. This should be a quick fix tho...
