This video is on how to animate the elements in your model. The animations created in SketchUp are not fluid animations, as SketchUp is not the software to create high quality animations. Rather, SketchUp has the ability to create stop motion graphics than can add a lot to a presentation or design pitch.
This tutorial shows how to animate objects that move over distances when moving between scenes.
By the end of this video you will be able to:
1. Enable an object to move in space over time/transform over time
2. Export animation to a movie file or still images (SketchUp Pro only)
@rickymontero Can u use your sketchup model on these free animator programs your talking about?

@rickymontero Yes, this technique is not for creating the next "Toy Story" in anyway but works well for showing growth of designs over time and other elementary animations. Thanks for the ruby script suggestions though!

@thehennspace I give u that... Sketchup is not the best for animation, there you have blender, powerful and free... but sketchup is way too easier to use and to learn, just wanted to pointed out that sketchup can do a lot better, I actually used to do the same.. but then discover properanimation.rb + smoothstepanim.rb both free. U can animate and export with no issues, and its easier to use than sketchyphysics.
Now if u want to paid software, there much better and powerful solutions, I'm cheap.

@rickymontero true but its hard to find compatible ones that allow you to export movies easily within Sketchup. for basic stuff this method can work, but if you're wanting to make real good animations, why not just learn a more advanced animation programs?
