Roland Goes East (TV-am, 1984)

Here is a 4-minute clip from one of Roland Rat's several TV-am series, Roland Goes East, from Easter 1984, in which the Living Legend and co. went to Hong Kong. Fascinating stuff, actually - a fascinating snapshot of HK in the 80s - and remember this was the year that Britain and China agreed to the transfer of Hong Kong to China in 1997 when the 99-year lease period expired.

I have reason to believe that this is the oldest surviving recording in my personal VHS collection (unless I get some more old tapes off eBay! ;-) However, I still have more vintage clips uploaded - don't think I've finished. ;-) ).

With apologies for the awkward picture quality at the beginning - due to not only the age of the recodring (and the amount of times it's been played back) - but because my VCR (which is ten years old) is now starting to fail and show sings of wear and tear.

WARNING: this programmme threatens at times to verge on the politically incorrect. ;-)
