Dude, so I go to this Expo, got a Ball Python.. he died :( getting a new one.
Anyway, went to this expo, and this guy maybe 20? Bought a freakin African Rock Python. This thing was hissing like crazy, and bitting at the cage.. it was nasty. And there was a list of snakes. 50 about. He walked up.... LITERALLY slapped down 250 bucks, and said "I want that one." o_0
Check out my top ten fav snakes? :D

@rseagles14 How old is your sister? Because ball pythons are way too small to cause even the most little amount of damage to an infant. Tell your mother that. Tell also that you'll make a cage setup that is difficult for the ball python to get out. For example buy a tub. Those are very difficult to get out of for snakes. And if possible make it so that she can see ball pythons or even touch them. There must be some place she can see one near you. For example reptile expos and pet stores.

@ARSA525 awesome man! question tho. She's fine with that. but... i have an infant sister... my mom is afraid of it getting out of its cage.. and yeah.

@rseagles14 If your mom says that 3-4 ft is max, you should get a male ball python. That's the maximum size they get. However if you can convince your mom to put the maximum length to 5 ft, you should be able to get a female ball python that attains a large adult size. :-D

@ARSA525 thanks bro. But heres a problem... my mom doesnt' want me to have a snake that can "wrap around my sisters or dogs neck and kill them" or a snake that has venom. also she wants a snake if i get one, thats 3-4 feet max. And I want a snake that is "Fat" like a python, not small like a garder snake. You know what I mean? Fat in width, not height. Thanks alot. mad respect :)

@rseagles14 I haven't kept snakes yet, because my parents haven't allowed me to, but I've done a lot of research and in my opinion ball python would be better option, because I've read that king snakes can have nasty attitudes sometimes when on thew other hand ball pythons have good attitudes and also are easier to handle because they move slowly.

what's a better snake for a first time owner? Ball Python, or king snake?
Nice vid. Although I think I would 2 vids. Because I would have like my top 10 you could own as pets, and then like top 10 full stop. Either way the ball python would be in both. Ever since I got mine, I'm just in love with them.

@Python133 I'm sorry. I looked up some info on your account and looked up where you are from, and I don't know anything about laws or legislations regardig what reptiles are allowed to be kept and what are not in Great Brittain. You could try to find a website that has info on the laws of your country. There's a site like that here. I am from Finland and as far as I am aware, you can keep any reptile as a pet here. The only limit here is that feeding live prey rodents to reptiles is illegal.
