  • I was playing my PSX when this game came out in Japan in 1998, Completely oblivious like thousands of other Megaman fans that a golden gem just came out. Getting this game in 1998 was pretty tough though even in Japan. You had to buy an SNES RAM cart and then download the game at a Lawson Convience Store. I love this game.

  • i dnt get forte

    XD

    Same here.

but u gotta admit that its fun to play! i am one of those who did expect more of the megaman 9 and 10 games. For example the graphic engine of megaman 8.

I feel so fucking old. Where did the good old games leave to?

  • This game is very odd...

Reason being that some robot masters in Megaman 8 were used in this game, so in Japan, the robot masters are copies from R & F, but in America, we didn't get the SNES version, and the GBA version was released obviously AFTER, so we think that some robot masters are copies from Megaman 8!

    ...whoa. I just surprised myself.

  • It was a really late release as it was, coming out in 1998 and all. Because of that, the chances of a US release on the SNES were very slim.

  • It was released in Japan AFTER the SNES was dead. In Japan that kind of thing sometimes works, in America, not so much. It would have likely been considered a waste of time and money to translate and release it.

  • it came out in like 99 on the SNES and nintendo of America no longer supported SNES games at the time. after 97 or 96 they basically cut off the SNES. that's why Starfox 2 didnt come out

  • Yeah, good point. Now that you mention it, I remember reading somewhere ther R&M was the third last game released for this system. I don't know if it's true, but since the game was released in 1998, it's very possible.

  • Well, it was probably also because it was very late in the SNES's age, and America already moved on to the N64. That's how it is, as I'm sure you know.
