Nokia N97

No 3D acceleration, No threaded messaging, DivX & AVI Playback is like a motion picture book, MP4 playback is either not smooth if you want good quality or the quality is not that good if you want it to play smooth,the ram is full of apps that you must pay to use and cannot be deleted, It's starved for RAM so it slows down & locks up all the time no matter what you delete, the camera & GPS are fucked up out the box & the OS is outdated.

Be smart. Don't buy this phone!

@proffezur i disagree completely. and the sales over the past four quarters proves society enjoys the iPhone a lot more. That being said- Nokia still makes very (high quality) cell phones, but the iPhone is my laptop in my pocket. no other cell phone can do it like iPhone, as well as the speed it accomplishes daily tasks.

Touchscreen keyboard = space consumption
Touchscreen keyboard = buggy/glitchy mistypes
Qwerty slideout = Much easier, much more reliable and dedicates the screen to viewing only... DUH!!!

Thanks for everyone who gave it to me advise, suggestion and opinion about nokia n97. Finally I got this phone and no any problem and working as normal. This is best mobile ever.

i never thought i'd say this... but i should have got an iPhone... N97 is a buggy ass POS. and only 64meg RAM?? wtf.

After using over 40 Nokia models in the past 15 years, I'm surprised Nokia hasn't composed a better design. Any phone with the hinge like that is bound to break at some point. horrible design period. example; why would you need a full qwerty keyboard, when you have touch screen? both Sony and Nokia just can't seem to win back their old customers now using apple iPhones.

i hv a n97 and i use the qwerty 99% of the time. touchscreen keypad is very much like normal phone which takes time. qwerty keypad is very helpful to me.
i dont work at nokia so i dont know how many ppl hv complained about broken hinges but as far as im using n97,i dont think it'd break unless u really tug very hard at it.
by far, my only complaint for n97 is i want a larger screen ;) other than that, its perfect to the core ;P
