Quite simply one of the greatest composer/performers in the world today, at least in jazz and world music. The guy is peerless! And he sounds like a heckuva nice guy to boot! Gotta love that!
I heard him the first time in 1973 on his introduction on "The moors" tune in Weather Report's "I sing the body electric" and since that time I loved his music.
