@BroHogan I ordered an SI-180G from a seller....may substitute it for the SBM-20. it is smaller and more sensitive. the price was reasonable. I am going to contact Derek about the Thorite...Have to get my shield working and the LCD display next then put in a nice enclosure I purchased from Mouser...cheers...

As the previous comment says, excellent testing of the different tubes! The sample of thorite it´s very active too, it makes the things more interesting!

Yep, the SI-180G is a very nice tube at a reasonable price. I recommend them.
