  • Many weapons in this movie were not meant to fight tanks!

Nebelwerfer and Thor were artillery, and Thor had more Psychological then actual influence on targets.

Goliath was an anti bunker mine

Armored trains like that in the movie were for protecting transports, and had same range as ordinary tanks.

That robot-thingy would be to unstable (would fall easly)

Landkreuzer was being developed to be supreme land weapon. Supreme to everything.

  • i disagree, any weapon that can destroy a moving tank can claim to be an anti tank weapon, anti tank weapons such as the rpg law 80 etc are purpose built but can still kill people or aircraft they are anti tank weapons but can be classed as anti air or anti personel aswell

  • "classed as" or "used as" for me it is the diffrence.

But I don't want to argue about that. Diffrent autors, diffrent nomenclature.

P.S. For RPGs there is an HE ammo.

And still I hardly imagine destroying a moving tank with Thor, it needs a lot of luck.

  • Panzernacker = German version of liberty prime. Hahah!

  • @Ahnenerbedienst Flak 88 would be a better example, as it's both AT and AA

  • Germans liked to brute force it on the battle field with artillery, and in the process created a vast array of heavy kinetic artillery pieces that unfortunately grown beyond the line of practicality. How psychological factor worked to their advantage was obvious following the construction of the Paris gun. Did it work accurately? no, did it scare the living daylights out of antiaircraft crews in Paris? yes :)

  • I have that booklet :D

  • @1997TigerMig it wasn't in frontline. It was on Ps1 medal of honor underground last level.

  • I NEVER SOW THE PANZERKNACKER IN MEDAL OF HONOR FRONTLINE.

  • @FlyingSnake110

At the fight against the Krim defense system Sewastopol Thor was very effectiveWithout this gun the fights would have been much more time, but Sewastopol was the key position for completly South-Russian.After succesfull building bridgehead at Kalach other forces could also attack Sewastopol. After it fall, the way was free for the raid deeper into enemy country.

If it was an effectful technik? Ask the veteranes of the 22. Infanterie-Division.

    Or the american-sowjet thiefs...

  • Why do you need a Landkreuzer when you hav the Kingtiger? The Kingtiger was already nearly invincible.

  • @Ahnenerbedienst And the Flak 88 is an anti Aircraft cannon, but it was the most efficient Tank Killer in WWII.

  • this music is from the medal of honor.
