No no, Christopher Tyng sampled from this track to create the Futurama intro. Fatboy Slim's remix has nothing to do with that intro.

Um yeah, only Henri and Schaeffer were at it way back in the 1950's. Who do you think the Beatles learned tape-looping from? They (and others like Pink Floyd) deserve full credit for bringing it from 'experimental' to 'mainstream' though.

What do you mean 'not imitated'? It's quite intentionally similar-sounding: they originally wanted to use this song, but for whatever reason didn't get the rights or didn't want to pay for them.
