I just can't believe it's going to be gone. I'm not one of those who thinks it's awful we're getting a new ballpark, but the more I think about it the more I'm really going to miss this current one.

I've been there for world series clinchers, all star game/hr derby, and both perfect games. The stadium could of stayed the Steinbrenner greed tore it dow. Not the age of the concrete !!!

I can definitely empathize with how you feel. As a Nascar fan, it makes me think of North Wilkesboro Speedway. Bruton Smith bought the track in '96 and that same year the track was closed to make room on the schedule for his new track (Texas Motor Speedway).

The concrete in the stands is really badly deteriorated. They said if they don't tear it down, then in a few years it would start to collapse.
