In August of 2009 CHEK-TV in Victoria BC was scheduled to go o0ff the air. A last minute deal between station employees and Canwest-Global (the parent company at the time) resulted in the station's employees and a group of local investors buying the station. Since CHEK-TV was saved the station has come a long way - signing a news sharing agreement with the CBC in 2010, converting to High Definition in 2011, and grabbing several high profile personalities from other news outlets. In this video the Tali Campbell Report and INET Online take a look at some of the recent successes of CHEK-TV.
Darn. I spelled Tali wrong the second time. Sorry about that.

Some interesting information. Hope you'll forgive me for adding some criticism. Tali, you need to have better lighting. You look great, except we can't really see you well enough. I'm sure that a bit more 'air time' will help with that occasional hesitation. Christopher, you are getting to be really smooth in front of the camera, but it might look a bit better if you take some tips from Ali about online wardrobe. I like what you are both doing; keep up the great work. (Wish I could do the same.)
