A serious UK evening news program from their national broadcaster discusses her song "Breathing" and it's anti-war message.

Please don't mention the name of the show, the network or the interviewer in comments. That's how videos are found and deleted.

  • What an amazing mystical artist she is. No wonder her work is unique. She seems like a Goddess.

  • Always quality stuff from Miss Kate Bush, indeed )

  • I've heard that critics say she is pretentious.I don't beleive that at all. What we see of Kate is in interviews is very natural,no pretending at all.

  • @TheYTChronicles

Easy on the eye, for sure, but she is not just "another pretty face".

We have them by the millions, but unique artists like Kate sadly only come along very rarely, and to be honest I don't think she has been, or will be bettered in our lifetime.

  • Jesus, she is fucknig hot.

  • Fortunately Kate is still working, but alas there is no one to compare to her.

  • @MarkPMus Top Of The Pops didn't air all the song either, so I suppose the programme in question decided to do the interview with KB to let others besides the hardcore following know the song was out.

  • I can't help thinking in hindsight that this was her response to then NME Danny Baker saying she knew nothing about the outside world or politics in general - 'See, I did it, so there!'

  • I love how back then artists did not have pre-planned things what to say in interviews. she's just so open and honest and humble...and fragile too. fabulous woman.

  • I think Scully meant romantic in the sense of romanticism rather than love songs and her response too seemed to suggest that that is what she took the question to be.

  • Give Frank Bough a break (there's a sentence I never thought I'd write), he at least voiced a personal opinion that Kate "always" gives us "quality" music. He's gone up in my estimation. But Hugh Scully did what the male TV presenters always did when interviewing Kate in the early days - patronised her: "the romantic songs you've sung in the past" - what, like 'Kite' (period pains), 'The Kick Inside' (incest/suicide), 'Hammer Horror' (professional jealousy)? Couldn't rattle our Kate though!

  • Please tell me who writes original songs with original subjects like Kate did.
