How is this relevant? Is it believed that Lizzie cleaned up the scene while Bridget was gone?

Another thing to consider is that Bridget was recovering from a serious stomach ailment (as was the rest of the family). She would probably be weaker than normal. That face, coupled with the oppressive heat of the day could considerably lengthen the time it took her.
Just some food for thought.

What are they building across the street there?
Anyway I saw this movie that suggested Lizzie took her clothes off to committe the murder..and quickly washed herself (but I don't know how much time that would've taken)..which is why there was known sign of blood.
