  • Thanks, I use my kiln for really small pieces like top blanks, pen blanks, ornament bodies and such. I also spray lacquer a lot and put artisitic pieces in the kiln to dry so I can buff them out. Thanks for looking. Sam

    Gave me few ideas!

  • Solar dry-kilns are handy. You could build a small one. I have one that holds 1500 bd/ft but you wouldn't need one that big. It gets hot too. That's important for killing boring beetle larvae. Great vid. Good luck in your pursuits.

  • Another idea i had was to use the warm air in the attic to make a kiln. Using your cabinet put a small, like one thats in a computer, to circulate the dry air over the wood. Thus pulling the moisture out with the warm dry air. It might be breaking a fire code by putting a hole in the ceiling like that. But there are fart fans in bathrooms. So there are holes in the celing. Let me know your thoughts.
