@madmax2069 Ensoniq ES5503 used on the apple iigs and Ensoniq Keyboards and 5A22 used in Apple IIGS And SNES the MeeGo of Personal Computer this is a Good Information

@madmax2069 StellarJetman is right. To avoid confusion in fact it would be more helpful to state that the Apple IIGS and SNES are completely different. The CPU in the Apple is more sophisticated that the CPU in the SNES.

Sadly the video shows us nothing of the actual game?

I'm not "trying" to argue. But you're saying that because the IIGS has one shared feature with the SNES (and it isn't even a sound or graphics chip - or even a sound or graphics FUNCTION), it's "basically the same hardware but lacks a few features".
I don't know how I can make it any clearer to you. If you can't understand the difference between "mostly different, with a few similarities" and "mostly similar, with a few differences", this whole discussion is pointless.
-
@StellarJetman wow dude, re read my original comment, nothing that i said was the OPPOSITE of my original comment.
stop trying to argue
-
>I already know that the CPU in the IIgs is the only thing that's close to the SNES hardware and even then it was slightly different, that's why i said basically SNES hardware but lacks a few features
Uh, that's the exact OPPOSITE of what you're saying. It's completely DIFFERENT hardware with exactly ONE shared feature.
Saying that the IIGS is basically an SNES because they share a CPU is like saying that a sports car is basically a minivan because they share a transmission.
-
@StellarJetman I already know that the CPU in the IIgs is the only thing that's close to the SNES hardware and even then it was slightly different, that's why i said basically SNES hardware but lacks a few features, Developers used the IIgs to get familiar with the CPU and worked on game logic before the Super Nintendo development platforms became widely available. The Video Graphics Chip (VGC) and Ensoniq ES5503 in the IIgs and the design of the CPU in the SNES is what really sat them apart
-
There are Amiga and ST plugins for Winamp (and XMplay, if that's your thing) if you don't feel like using those specialized players. And 7-zip works just fine with LZX archives, along with just about everything else. I've never had a computer that I didn't install 7-zip on.
-
>the IIgs was basically the SNES hardware before the SNES came out. It just lacked a few featuers of the SNES.
The only feature of the SNES present in the IIGS is its CPU. Nothing else is even remotely similar between the two machines.

@RABBIDGamfan Yes the Amiga supported the MT32, not sure about the Atari ST
Sierra SGI games on the amiga even supported MT32 (king's quest 5, Larry 5,
Space quest 4 ect,)
Yeah, does anybody know whether Will Harvey did the music and if there's any more outside of this game?

Douglas Fulton composed the music. I would love to know about his other works (computer synthesized or not) but you can hear more of his music in The Immortal. It was the next Apple IIgs game he and Will Harvey did and had equally as great music!
When I have time, I'll capture the other Zany Golf levels and perhaps The Immortal as well.
