Sweet and specialty peppers are flavorful, delicious, and colorful, but they also happen to be very expensive. So why not grow your own? They're easy to grow, and they're extra easy to plant too. They grow well in the ground and also potted. All you have to do is get the loose soil, plant it into the pot, and there you go. There's a couple of different varieties that work well. There's banana, habenero, jalapeño, and Italian. It doesn't matter if they all grow the same. So keep it frugal, and keep it fresh.

  • I love growing my own hot peppers (kind of an obsession really) because its fun and always nice to try some new variety I've never tried before. Mine end up in containers anywhere from about 2.5 to 5 gallons in size and the are outside. In the fall I bring some of the ones I like most indoor and attempt to overwinter (with some headache from pests such as aphids coming with them). Anyway I wanted to say that you've got some nice videos and happy planting :)
