I agree with you!!! It is sad that the same legend record labels that brought us artists like Bing Crosby, Guy Lombardo, Perry Como, and many others are now cranking out rap/hip-hop noise, or grungy sounding heavy metal rock that sounds more like an artillery shooting range than music for the most part!!! When a car goes by, you can hear pounding bass coming out of it's radio, but what kind of musical memories will this create? Thanks for checking this out..Friends, Lloyd.

Ah,yes, from an era in America that is long gone and none of today's generation will ever know about, too bad. This is the music that my parents grew up in and even though I wasn't born then,I do know what it was, thank God.No more Guy Lombardos.Very sad, very sad.Everything today is about, glitter, glam, sex, shock,w
eirdoism, and everything else they can throw into music. Will the youth of today be able to look back on their music the way we look back on someone like Guy Lombardo. We all know that answer. -

This song is a classic.
I would have loved to live in that era.

I'm glad Texas A&M adopted part of this song for their fight song (although they did change the lyrics: "Late one night, when the t-sips were in bed/ Ol' Sul Ross put the lantern in the shed/ The Aggie kicked it over and winked his eye and said/ There's going to be a hot time in Austin tonight). This song is truly a classic and many people are getting exposed to a song that could have died out if it weren't adopted. Thanks A&M and Guy Lombardo!
