Maureen Walsh is the true definition of a coward. She talks about freedom but then takes away religious freedom at the same time, that makes her a hypocrite. There is absolutely no guarantee that churches will be allowed to continue to perform traditional man-woman marriages without being sued, harassed by all gays, or threatened with fines or the threat of jail.

The government should stay out of private matters like the person somebody chooses to marry. Everybody deserves to be treated fairly and equally by the law and the separation between church and State should be applied.

Actually, redwoodmists, Washington, like California, has the idiotic "Top Two" primary. So if you lived in our 17th District you would have the choice between Ms Walsh and a right-wingnut who believes all non-white people will fry in Hell. And who, alas, might win.
