THE SONG HAS ENDED - SUMMER HAS ENDED

I am afflicted with a severe case of melancholia every year at this time. It seems quite ironic that we can find so much beauty in things that are dying, and yet we do.

Autumn is indeed a beautiful time of year, especially the colourful harvests. As I feast my eyes on this awesome, annual miracle of Nature, there lurks in the dark recesses of my mind, the thought that as lovely as it is, Autumn is just a fore bearer of that cold and sometimes bitter season, just a short time away.
