Thought I'd try out the hydro mod.. Found articles in the WUS forum dating years back. You can read up on various Casio's being modded this way. Its an easy mod and the only problem I encountered was the lost of EL light. The only thing I did differently from everyone else that have done this mod is that I made sure the heat on the oil was consistent. I was acutally cooking the oil. A bubble was present but disappeared shortly. I am happy with the mod and anyone wanting to try it should take their time. I was expecting the worse when I put the watch in the steaming pot. the temp measured at over 180F when I pointed the temp gauge. I even froze it and right after threw it in hot boiling water without any problems.. My kid bro should be happy with his xmas gift. Can't wait to hydro my own G shock.
hydro mod benefits:

Clearer display and deepened colors
elminates vapors/condesation
theoretically its able to go deeper than 200m
case feels little heavier
