  • Not at all true...by dragging do you mean downhanding or backhanding? because with the latter you are actually getting more penetration...the wire is driving back into all the molten. For the former I don't think it matter much on this...a downhand would get sufficient penetration this because it is thin metal....soooo...what on earth are you talking about?

  • Dragging a weld greatly increases the chances of cracking in a weld due to the decrease in penetration

  • You can drag OR push mig welding. Push only for tig.

  •  very solid welds for the position of the cover

  • Interesting that in a Miller Electric video the person using the welder not only uses vertical down, but drags the weld instead of pushing it. I realize it's only a differential cover but still both incorrect techniques
