Great vid mate. Im from Tasmania my self i noticed at the end of the video where you had the map showing what police agencys had jurisdiction in what state of australia,I thaught the AFP (Australian federal Police) had Juridiction over the whole of Australia not in the middle of the ocean.

I called the police after being assaulted and robbed outside my own apartment, after which the person stood outside yelling at me

I called the police and was told someone would come to assist me.

5 hours later, a police officer called me on my mobile and asked if I was alright.

I had to go down the police station and insist on taking a statement and it was only then they said they would go to his house sometime, which as I stated to them, was the house over the road.

Respect has to be earned.

@bungmuffin I see it every day, every time we turn up to a domestic, every time we pull dying people out of car wrecks, every time we pull over a car we are putting our lives on the line. Because you have had a bad experience with one or two police is irresponsible and small minded to brand and label all police. I know the far majority of police do a good job, look at the public opinion of police that is continually rising.

I do wonder about NSW and Victorian politicians. Cops in those states would have a much easier time if they gave all patrol cops Tasers. WA has had them since 2007, and since then, none of them have fired their sidearm at anyone. Doesn't matter whether the offender is 150 kilos of solid muscle and high on speed, a three second jolt from one of those will drop 'em like a sack of spuds without permanent injury. Sometimes even the threat of them makes some back down

Either 18 with year 12 qualification or 21 with no pre-requisites though I believe a driver's license is a necessity.

@MyPunisher23 what a fool, police also hate corrupt police, and endeavour to punish those who are. There are bad elements in all walks of life, no has ever said that there aren't corrupt police, but the far majority of police are law abiding citizens and are police because they want to help and protect people. People like you! I am sure you would be the first to call the police when you need them. When was the last time you put yourself on the line for a stranger like the police do everyday?
